About E-BRAiN
Evidence-Based Robot Assistance in Neurorehabilitation
The project studies opportunities for social humanoid robots in upervising training tasks for post-stroke patients.
Following questions are important:
- How can patients be motivated?
- What kinds of models are to be specified for patients, robot and context?
- What is the role of system architecture in complexity handling?
- How is the human recognized in the loop?
- What kind of rules are to be applied?
- In which way do patterns help?
- How can natural language interaction be supportive?
- How is knowledge specified?
- When to interact in which way?
- ... and many others.
Based on the results of the project, we expect to deepen the understanding of strategies, approaches, and methods in Human-Robot-Interaction. A cross-pollination of experiences in Psychology, Sociology, Medicine and Computer Science domains is assumed.
